Meet Our Clergy and Staff
The Revd Stephen Mason
VICAR
Stephen has been Vicar of St John's since 2002. Trained in the liberal catholic tradition, he was a curate in the northern town of Grimsby and a Vicar in Tunbridge Wells beforehand. He believes that the church should reflect God's love and be relevant to modern life. His vision is for St John's to be the welcoming centre of a thriving community in twenty-first century London.
The revd Alex Norris
Associate vicar
Alex worked in the Creative Services industry before training for the Priesthood. He served his curacy at St Giles Cripplegate, City of London and also worked for the Digital Team of the Church of England, based in Church House, Westminster, where he produced the National Online Service each week from churches all around the UK.
The revd OWEN DOBSON
AssISTANT PRIEST
Owen joins the clergy team at St Johns as a temporary Assistant Priest. His focus will be on education and Culture Vulture Ventures. Owen was previously Assistant Priest at St James, Sussex Gardens.
Nick Miller
DIRECTOR OF MUSIC
Nicholas Miller, a prize-winning graduate of the University of Bristol and Trinity Laban Conservatoire, is an Associate of the Royal College of Organists. With a background at Liverpool Cathedral, he held key roles at St Mary Redcliffe Church and Portsmouth Cathedral. Previously he was Director of Music at St Margaret’s Putney, he divides his time between Bath and London.
Bryan Sollenberger
Administrator
Bryan grew up in a small rural town in Pennsylvania where nothing much ever happened and came to London in 1988 to get a taste of the broader world. He is a fervent Liverpool supporter and nowadays thinks cricket might not be the only sport more boring than baseball.

EVENTS & BUILDING MANAGER / HEAD VERGER
Andrejs has been our Events & Building Manager / Head Verger since 2008. Among his many responsibilities are running the car park, managing events and looking after the building.
Philip Matei
Assistant Administrator
Philip joins St John’s as the newest member of the team. He studied economics at City, University of London. He will be supporting the Parish Administrator and Verger on a daily basis.

Now serving as an Army Chaplain.
The Revd Dan Warnke (2018-2021)
Now serving as Chaplain to Westminster School.
The Revd Margaret Legg (2007-2020)
Margaret retired from parish ministry but continues to serve as a chaplain at St Mary’s Hospital,
and occasionally helps Stephen as Area Dean in providing cover.
The Revd Sally Hitchiner (2013-2019)
Sally is Team Rector of North Lambeth and Rector of St Anselm's
The Revd Antonio Garcia Fuerte (2015-2018)
Now serving as Vicar of All Saints Upper Norwood.
The Revd Pippa Turner (2008-2017)
Pippa is Vicar at St Philips, Kensington.
The Revd Robin Sims-Williams (2014-2017)
You can find Robin serving as Priest-in-charge of All Saints’ Church, Child’s Hill.
The Revd Dr Brutus Green (2009-2014)
Brutus is now Vicar at St Margaret’s, Putney.
