Children
Children and young families are very much part of our life here at St John’s, whether through our involvement in local schools, providing space for playgroups during the week, or the important role that children play in our Sunday morning services.
Sunday Mornings
Sundays 10:00 AM
Children are welcome to stay with their parents or carers in church or join in Kids’ Club which congregates after the beginning of the service. They then rejoin their parents in time to receive communion or a blessing. At the end of the service there is a children’s reception of juice and biscuits.
Toilets and nappy changing facilities are available both in the church and in the parish hall.
Giggles and Gossip
Thursdays, 10-11.30am
This group is aimed at parents or carers with babies and toddlers. There will be soft play available and the club will also consist of crafts and a story time and live music for the parents and children to take part in.
SAFEGUARDING
At St John’s, we encourage a safe environment for children and adults at risk (previously vulnerable adults) who either visit, worship or are employed with us. For more information, please refer to our Safeguarding page.
