Supporting St John’s
It costs £10,479 a week to run St John’s. We receive no external funding from the central church or government. That is why we ask everyone to think regularly about how they can support our work financially. A short, practical FAQ about how to help St John's and feel good about it is available here.

Getting Involved
There is a lot happening at St John's, and there are plenty of opportunities for you to get involved!
Serving
We always need someone to carry the cross - a Crucifer - and two people to carry candles - Acolytes. During the service, Servers sit near the front of the church and give important practical help in the smooth running of the service. This continues a very ancient tradition within the Church - documents from as far back as the second century discuss the role of servers.
At St John’s, we believe that our services are shared by everyone, and Servers make a visible statement of our shared worship. If you are interestered in becoming a Server, please speak to a member of the clergy or contact us.
Joining the choir
Music is at the heart of our worship, and our choir is the heart of our music. The core of the choir are our eight Choral Scholars. They are all vocal students from London music colleges, but they are aided by volunteers in our congregation who enjoy singing.
Joining the choir is a great way to get to know people at St John’s, and we are always on the look out for new talent. If you are interested in joining our choir, please speak to Nick Miller (our Director of Music) or contact us.
kids' Club
Our Kids’ Club takes place each Sunday morning, which is run by Marcus from the Red Balloon Foundation. We are currently looking for volunteers to help with Kid’s Club.
Kids’ Club sessions focus on the same bible readings that are read at our weekly service, allowing children to gain a completely different (and often enlightening perspective) on the lesson.
