Nicholas Miller

Director of Music

Nick Miller is a prizewinning graduate of the University of Bristol and Trinity Laban Conservatoire, Greenwich, and an Associate of the Royal College of Organists. Raised in Liverpool, he first began playing the organ and working with choirs at Liverpool Cathedral, which later led to further posts at St Mary Redcliffe Church in Bristol and Portsmouth Cathedral.

During postgraduate studies at Trinity Laban Nick served at St John’s Hyde Park first as Organ Scholar and later Organist, combining this with roles at Eltham College, SE London, as Musician-in-Residence and Head of Organ. In 2020 he took up the post of Director of Music at St Margaret’s Putney, setting up new choral scholarships and a successful recital series.

He now divides his time between Bath and London, combining his work at St John’s Hyde Park with teaching at Queen’s College in Harley Street, coordinating the music for the parishes of Orchardleigh and Lullington in Somerset, accompanying the Bath Celebration Choir and pursuing a freelance career as a choir accompanist, organ recitalist and improviser for silent film screenings.
